Biophysical Solutions™ is a diagnostic and treatment system based upon the electrical properties of the human body. Biophysical therapy is a safe and simple form of treatment which is used in many forms of medicine. It consists of passing small, painless electrical pulses through the body via surface electrodes in order to stimulate the production of substances, which form part of the body's natural mechanism for dealing with stress and pain.

Principles of electro-acupuncture or EAP are also applied to this therapy but the skin is not pierced and no needles are used.

The equipment for electrical therapies usually consists of a small box containing a battery and circuitry and a small number of output sockets to which flexible pairs of wires are attached. The two wires are attached to the body by various means and the patient's body completes the electrical circuit. The ends of the wires can have various attachments depending on the use to which the apparatus is being put.

Biophysical Solutions is unique in that it has been devised using objective measurements such as electrodermal skin measurements and Electrographic Imaging techniques (Kirlian photography). Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TNS or TENS) is well known in conventional medicine. Apart from the fact that EAP implies that the electrical pulses are applied via needles, the two therapies may be considered identical although different treatment parameters are used.
